"A Purse's Passion II"
18"x24" Combined line drawing and digital work of art. Canvas print.
Description (in Poetry):
Sun-drenched skin, Caribbean born.
Gold bangles heavy, Boldly adorned.
Deep reds, forest greens, and subtle black proudly worn.
Standing in power and pride, she could never be never forlorn.
Passing any test, weather any storm.
Hot like the lava fire, never lukewarm.
So ring the alarms, sound the trumpets horn.
Listen to her rhythms, body shaped like a French horn.
Let yours eyes slowly follow the arched curve of the circular form.
Down to the purse worn, the color of salty-sweet buttery popcorn.
An island girl in her home country, whether stateside or airborne.
Bilingual, trilingual, never conforms, but transforms!
She knows how to perform, has her own platform.
She can take the heat, from hailstorms to rainstorms.
Now back to lush forest tropics, islands heat humidity warm.
And take a deep passionate breath to inhale, this beautiful art form.
